Frugal Gnome was started because reaching financial goals can be quite the struggle.
We know. We struggled financially too. And having found ways to improve our situation, we couldn’t sit idly by as others struggled on their own to get out of debt, purchase a home, and prepare for retirement – particularly when we knew there was a better way and we could help.
Why Frugal Gnome?
Our journey out of significant debt and into financial freedom was typical except that we could draw upon some interesting abilities and experiences: My husband is an engineer with an MBA and I have spent years editing financial content. At every step of the way, we were able to apply that knowledge to our circumstances and make progress more efficiently.
That’s why Frugal Gnome is so different – we had to reevaluate our perspectives, chart our own course, and create our own tools. Now we share what we’ve learned … in the hope others will reach financial success too.
Of course, it took time. And we had to make tough decisions and sacrifices to reach our goals. No doubt you will too. But reaching goals of any type requires hard work and sacrifice over time. Still, it’s worth it.
What you’ll find at Frugal Gnome
There’s a ton of financial guidance on the web. We’re just disturbed by how cookie-cutter it is. But you don’t have to accept this one-size-fits-all approach for your own personal finances.
At Frugal Gnome, you’ll learn how to reach financial goals effectively given your situation.
Specifically, you'll find:
- Actionable advice: Insights that help you focus and understand your finances.
- Customized roadmaps: Synergistic guides that lead you step by step to your destination.
- Effective strategies and tools: Methods, financial tools and calculators that help you track your progress and explore different financial scenarios, as necessary.
What you won’t find at Frugal Gnome
Unfortunately, much of the financial guidance on the web today is overtly commercial. We find that disappointing and, frankly, irritating.
Our tools and guidance are available to all with a very affordable subscription. We hope you’ll find that to be a refreshing change.
We‘re open to finding new ways to provide value worthy of your patronage, though. So as we find people of like mind who offer services of value, we’d like to recommend them to you after thorough vetting.
We invite you to join us on your financial journeys and see for yourself.
Sincerely,
Linda Vergon
